Pulling My Hair Out

Ok, so, I have two stores on Etsy. Many of you may not know this. Why? Because for some reason I put 99% effort into getting the word out about Your Daily Jewels, and, now and then I might put out a Tweet about poor PJClarke

Dead-Stock, Never Circulated Swarovski Barrel Earrings, from A Re-Purpose in Life (Sold)
The PJClarke name is attached to my original store, A Repurpose in Life. Here is where I have the most tinkering fun. I find vintage goodies and old, sad, broken down jewelry, and I breathe new life into it. I re-love them and create modern, repurposed jewelry; little pieces of art that women love!

If you are a fellow Etsian, you know how hard it is to get your items seen on Etsy. There is so much competition and it is growing with great momentum. So, I promote and promote like all of the diligent, serious crafters selling on Etsy.  I am a member of four teams, I blog, I hold  giveaways, I buy ads,  I chat in forums, I Tweet, I use Facebook, I Stumble, Kaboodle, Tumble, and Hive. These are just my daily duties, there are even more tools that I use, but with less consistency.

Bursting Garden Earrings from Your Daily Jewels

What is odd, is that I am working this hard to get Your Daily Jewels off the ground and I pay little attention to PJClarke and A Repurpose in Life. You may be wondering why? Me too!

Maybe because Your Daily Jewels is the newer store, (but only by a few months.) Maybe because the  items are all new, and shiny, and bursting with color and I am attracted to sparkly things. At least more so than the vintage-style or  jewelry made of  brass with patina as in PJClarke's selections. I wish I knew why, but whatever the reason, my attention is clearly biased toward Your Daily Jewels

But here is the kicker, I do nothing, and I get more sales at PJClarke than I do at Your Daily Jewels. Sales are off the hook!  What do you think about this?  I am thankful for the sales, but it makes me a little nuts. I would love to hear from you.

Norah

hitME

Try hitME Free! During their launch promotion.
What does this mean? It means you can send an Ecard with a song attached.
The song is a gift the recipient can download and keep forever.

How? Its easy as 1-2-3-4

This is a fantastic idea from my friend Isabel at ecardindustries.
How many ecards do you open and think, "nice, they spent 20 seconds sending me a card".
Those thoughts do not apply to a hitME card.
First, your recipient will know you took the time to choose an artistic and beautiful card, not kitschy.
Next, they will know you took the time to choose the gift of a song  you know they will love; or that has deep meaning for the two of you; or that sends a message that you cannot put into words yourself.

What are you waiting for? Try it for free!
Use it on Facebook. Simply "allow" the application and you are off and running.

about hitMe and ecardindustries (http://www.ecardindustries.com/hitme)
hitME is the first web application to enable users to send full-featured e-greetings to anyone with an email address and attach a downloadable digital gift - which currently can be any song or album from more than 10,000 major and independent record labels.

Future digital gifts will include video games, television series, movies, digital books, tickets, and gift cards.

Funky Felt Flowers

Spring is in the air. Ok, this is a fib. It is still snowing. Four inches so far. Thirty six inches so far this Winter. I am tired of wearing snow boots and having hat head. That is why I am so drawn to these happy, funky, felt flower rings. There is no way you can have the Winter blues when wearing orange, pink , and yellow.

My good friend Michele, (Aesthetician, bulldog lover and mother, avid crafter, intense exerciser, skull fetisher, sugar fiend, gadget whore and curser), is the creative fiend responsible for this new obsession of mine. Michele is a self professed cocktail ring addict. Her passion for the big bold baubles is combined with her love of crafting resulting in a collection of rings I have only dreamed about before. Each one is different and handmade with love.
I am wearing my cure for the Winter blahs as I write this. I cannot help but smile when I see it.
